Songs of the Heart

Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but he who trusts in the LORD, lovingkindness shall surround him. Psalms 32:10

Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him for the help of His presence. Psalms 42:5

For he will deliver the needy when he cries for help, the afflicted also, and him who has no helper. He will have compassion on the poor and needy, and the lives of the needy he will save. He will rescue their life from oppression and violence, and their blood will be precious in his sight. Psalms 72:12-14

Paul's Teachings

For this reason we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but for what it really is, the word of God, which also performs its work in you who believe. I Thessalonians 2:13

For God has not called us for the purpose of impurity, but in sanctification. So, he who rejects this is not rejecting man, but the God who gives His Holy Spirit to you. I Thessalonians 4:7-8

Rejoice always; pray without ceasing in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. I Thessalonians 5: 16-18

But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth. II Thessalonians 2:13
